Tanner Industries, Inc. (TII), a family owned business and distributor of Ammonia Products, has an immediate full time opening for a Quality, Regulatory & HazMat Training Manager. Operating out of our corporate office in Southampton, PA, this position is responsible for managing our Ammonia Safety & Emergency Response Training (ASERT) program, ensuring regulatory compliance across DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements, and supporting our internal audit and quality management programs. Travel is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
ASERT Program Management
- Manage the Ammonia Safety & Emergency Response Training (ASERT) program end-to-end
- Serve as a lead instructor for ASERT class offerings
- Handle all aspects of class logistics including quotes, scheduling, preparation, and post-class closeouts
Training
- Conduct personnel training both internally and externally
- Develop and maintain training materials and records
Internal Audit Program
- Manage and facilitate the internal audit program
- Prepare and represent the company at quality and regulatory audits
Responsible Distribution Support
- Support and coordinate Responsible Distribution (RD) programs
- Assist with Code Coordinator responsibilities, reverifications, code updates, and annual RD audits
Regulatory Affairs Support
- Support regulatory compliance with applicable government regulations including DOT, OSHA, and EPA requirements
- Assist with filing Tier II reports, Form R reports, Risk Management Plans (RMPs), DOT registrations, licenses, and state tank registrations
Quality Management Support
- Support quality management programs as needed, including supplier and lab verifications
- Conduct biennial lab audits, supplier audits/verifications, and other scheduled audits
Qualifications Required
- Experience in regulatory compliance, environmental health & safety, or a related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel as required for ASERT classes and other job functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
- Experience with ammonia safety, HazMat regulations, or industrial chemical distribution
- Familiarity with EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulatory requirements
- Prior experience as a trainer or instructor
- Knowledge of Responsible Distribution programs
- Experience conducting internal audits or quality management activities
