American Traveler is hiring an Ambulatory Care RN for a Cardiology Clinic setting, ideal for first-time travelers with at least 1 year of experience.

position in an Outpatient Cardiology Clinic within an Ambulatory Care setting

Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM
-
No weekend requirements

No on-call responsibilities
-
No floating between units required

Uses Epic EMR charting system

Facility is a Short Term Acute Care hospital with Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designation

Teaching hospital environment
-
Active WA or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

BLS certification required
-
Epic charting experience required
-
Skills in patient assessment, vital signs, specimen collection (venipuncture, urine, throat, capillary), medication reconciliation, and assisting with procedures

Experience with telephone triage and pharmacy/patient refill calls

Experience in Family Care, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, or Medical Surgical clinic settings preferred

Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Provide direct patient care in a cardiology outpatient clinic including assessments, vital signs, and assisting with procedures

Perform specimen collection, labeling, and basic office duties such as telephone triage and prescription refill calls

Any scrub color accepted for RNs

No parking fees at this facility

Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
