Overview
We are a warm, professional family of four seeking a reliable, nurturing, and experienced live-in nanny/housekeeper to join our household. Our children are 8 and 10 years old—active, curious, and in school full-time. We also have two friendly cats. We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, is detail-oriented in maintaining a clean and organized home, and values long-term stability in their role.
Responsibilities
Childcare (Approximately 60%):
- Provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for two children (ages 8 and 10)
- Assist with morning and evening routines (getting ready for school, bedtime, etc.)
- Prepare meals/snacks for the children and manage school lunch and kids dinner
- Help with homework and school projects
- Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities and outings
- Drive children to and from school or activities as needed (a valid driver’s license is a must)
- Manage children’s laundry and maintain their rooms/play areas tidy
Housekeeping (Approximately 40%):
- Daily cleaning and tidying of common areas
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management for the family
- Organizing and maintaining household supplies and pantry
- Occasional deep cleaning (with family-provided equipment and supplies)
- Light meal prep for adults as requested
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a nanny and housekeeper with references
- Love for children and animals
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and manage time independently
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
- Ability to commit long-term (1+ year preferred)
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Capable swimmer a plus
- Strong skills in meal preparation tailored to young children’s nutritional needs; experience with cooking is preferred.
- Valid certifications in CPR and First Aid; willingness to obtain or renew these certifications if necessary.
