Overview

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history intake to establish accurate oncology/hematology diagnoses.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with state regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Manage acute pain cases, ventilator support, airway management, and critical care interventions with Oncology patients
- Document all patient interactions meticulously within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as OncoEMR while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with multiple medical professionals on patient care, post-acute care, hospice & palliative medicine, and clinical research initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
Experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like OncoEMR for accurate data collection and medical records management.
- Knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes and familiarity with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for diagnostic documentation.
- Experience in specialized fields such as oncology/hematology.
- Strong understanding of healthcare diagnosis processes, medical terminology, physiology knowledge, and clinical research methodologies to support evidence-based practice.
