Additional recommendations
A few keyword changes will make this posting much stronger in search results and improve applicant quality:
Add commissioning throughout the posting. Many qualified technicians search for “Commissioning Technician,” “Field Service Engineer,” or “Electrical Test Technician” rather than just “Test Technician.”
Include keywords like medium voltage (MV), low voltage (LV), switchgear, switchboards, power distribution, electrical commissioning, protective relays, substations, NETA, and electrical acceptance testing. These are common search terms used by experienced candidates.
If the role involves overnight travel, state the expected travel percentage (e.g., 20%, 40%, 50%). Qualified field service candidates often filter jobs based on travel expectations.
If they’re open to candidates with NETA, EETA, or utility testing backgrounds, call that out explicitly. Those candidates are typically among the strongest fits for this type of role.
