Summary: The title examiner is responsible for providing support to escrow operations and reviewing legal documents prior to closings. This position’s duties are time-sensitive and attention to detail is pertinent to the day-to-day workflow.
Roles and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- · Analyze and review real estate title documents for accuracy and completeness.
- · Identify issues and/or discrepancies affecting the title's validity.
- · Review land surveys
- · Collaborate with escrow officers, underwriters, lenders and other stakeholders to resolve title-related matters
- · Conduct precise, thorough research on property records and legal documents.
- · Create, circulate and update title commitments
- Maintain a professional working relations with staff and clients.
- · Ensure that emails are addressed in a timely manner.
- · Answer phones
- · Maintain a presentable workspace at all times. .
Qualifications and Education Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 - 5 years in a title examiner position required.
Preferred Skills
Typing, computer, use of basic office equipment, filing, phone etiquette, organization skill, attention to detail, ability to multitask
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
