We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meat Market Associate to join our custom meat shop team. This is a fast-paced environment where accuracy, efficiency, and strong communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate is bilingual, computer-savvy, and comfortable working with a team to ensure high-quality product presentation and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Wrap, label, and package meat products according to company standards
- Enter customer and order information into the computer system
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers (bilingual preferred)
- Assist with order preparation and ensure accuracy of custom cuts
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking shelves in freezers, assisting with custom order pick up, processing room and smokehouse.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual (preferred)
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn custom processing system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [50 lbs]
- Previous experience in meat processing, grocery, or food service is a plus (but not required)
- Culinary skills, including knife handling, use of meat processing equipment, and meat cutting, are highly desirable.
