Job Summary
Avenix Health and Wellness is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team. We specialize in non-invasive, drug-free electroanalgesia therapy to help patients manage chronic pain, neuropathy, and musculoskeletal conditions.
In addition to providing exceptional patient care during electroanalgesia treatments, this role will assist with IV hydration and vitamin therapy services. The ideal candidate will be proficient in peripheral IV insertion and medication administration, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy building meaningful relationships with patients throughout their recovery journey.
This position offers flexible PRN scheduling with the opportunity to work in an innovative, wellness-focused practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care throughout electroanalgesia treatment sessions.
- Prepare patients for treatment, explain procedures, and monitor patient comfort and response.
- Perform peripheral IV catheter insertion and administer IV fluids, vitamins, and medications according to provider orders and established protocols.
- Administer intramuscular (IM) medications and injections as appropriate.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to any medical concerns.
- Accurately document treatments, assessments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record.
- Educate patients on treatment plans and reinforce provider recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with inventory management and stocking of clinical supplies.
- Support front office operations as needed, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, checking patients in and out, and verifying patient information.
Qualifications
- Current New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Demonstrated competency in peripheral IV insertion and IV medication/fluid administration (or willingness to obtain competency before independently performing these duties).
- Experience administering intramuscular medications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.
- Comfortable working with electronic medical records (EMR).
- Experience with medical front desk duties, scheduling, and patient registration is a plus.

Pay: $31.00 - $36.00 per hour
