Our office is looking for a dynamic and energetic candidate to join our team of optical professionals.
This position is for a lead optician. Responsibilities are assisting clients with frame and lens selection, explaining vision insurance benefits, frame board management and basic optical management. The lead optician organizes and meets with optical frames representatives to manage our frame inventory. You work closely with another optician to take care of our patients as they enter the optical. We are a small but busy one doctor practice and are located in southern Overland Park.
Lead employee's manage administrative items in the optical such as reconciling lab and vendor statements, pricing new product, return pulled product to vendors and enforce office policy with other employees. They ensure that orders are processed properly with our lab in a timely manner and product is verified and adjusted during dispensing visits.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in optical either in optometry or ophthalmology eyecare clinics is required. ABO certification is preferred and Associate degree is preferred but industry experience and or optical certification will be considered for well-trained candidates.
