Job Summary
We are seeking an entry level, dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and supporting the organization’s financial integrity. Your expertise will help maintain accurate financial records, facilitate timely reporting, and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve variances.
- Manage customer billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoices.
- Administer customer refunds including approvals, and documentation.
- Prepare, review, and process domestic and international wire transfers.
- Manager customer billing, ensuring accurate and timely invoices.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation calculations, physical inventory support, and related account reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation and analysis of plant financial reports and cost center reporting, including variance analysis and support for operational management.
- Provide daily sales projection reports to management.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and transactional issues.
- Support audit and compliance activities by maintaining accurate records, preparing supporting documentation, and adhering to established accounting policies and internal controls.
- Participate in ad hoc accounting, reporting, and process improvement projects to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Collaborate across departments to support cross-functional projects and assist with system enhancements or process improvements as needed.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or a Bachelor’s Degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, required.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or private industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or enterprise software systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Ability to handle sensitive financial and business information with a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
