The Opportunity
As Junior Test Lead you will hold a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting daily testing operations, maintaining quality standards, and helping the team achieve production goals. This role works closely with the Test Lead to coordinate workflow, support team members, resolve routine operational challenges, and ensure testing processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
The Junior Test Lead serves as a key resource on the production floor, providing guidance, coaching, and support to team members while helping maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment. When the Test Lead is engaged with meetings, projects, or other responsibilities, the Junior Test Lead acts as the primary point of contact for daily floor operations.
This role is ideal for a skilled technician or team member who is ready to take on additional responsibility, develop leadership capabilities, and contribute to continuous improvement within the testing department. The Junior Test Lead helps drive operational excellence by promoting quality, teamwork, accountability, and consistent execution of testing procedures.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the Test Lead with daily operations across the testing department.
- Assist with testing processes for:
- >>> Mobility devices
- >>> Laptops
- >>> Desktops
- >>> AIO (All-in-One) systems
- >>> Locked device processing
- >>> E-commerce special order testing
- Help coordinate workflow to ensure devices move efficiently from testing to finished goods.
- Monitor workstations and ensure testing procedures are followed consistently.
- Assist with manual processing activities, including laptop/phone checks, Blanco, Razor, and other testing tools.
- Provide floor support by answering team questions and helping resolve routine production issues.
- Verify data entry accuracy and ensure testing results are recorded correctly.
- Escalate equipment, quality, or workflow concerns to the Test Lead when necessary.
- Help train new team members on testing procedures, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Participate in Gemba walks, daily L10 meetings, and departmental reporting as directed by the Test Lead.
- Promote a safe, organized, and positive work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
Required
- Experience testing electronics such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, or similar equipment
- Previous experience as a trainer, team lead, or senior technician is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable using warehouse systems and data entry applications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to support team members and escalate issues appropriately.
- Willingness to develop leadership skills and take on additional responsibilities within the organization.
Nice to Have
- Experience testing electronics such as laptops, desktops, mobile devices, or similar equipment.
- Previous experience in a trainer, team lead, senior technician, or similar leadership support role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of testing processes, quality standards, and production workflows.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and consistent results.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and support team operations in a fast-paced production environment.
- Comfortable using warehouse systems, data entry applications, and operational tracking tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coach, support, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Ability to work independently while supporting team goals and daily operational priorities.
- Willingness to develop leadership skills and take on increased responsibilities within the testing department.
