Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Execute order picking tasks accurately using barcode scanning technology for logistics efficiency.
- Assist in inventory management by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems, and maintaining precise records.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Follow forklift safety protocols and OSHA standards to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Perform equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials manually when necessary, adhering to manual handling safety standards in production environments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo), pallet jacks, and lift trucks.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping & receiving, and distribution processes.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning for logistics accuracy.
- Familiarity with safety standards in production environments such as OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining manual handling best practices.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and documentation accuracy.
- Previous experience in warehouse supervision or materials handling roles is a plus but not required.
