Full Job Description

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning, safety, and maintenance of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems. This role plays a critical part in delivering a comfortable and high-quality guest experience by proactively addressing maintenance needs and responding promptly to repair requests.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
Respond quickly and efficiently to guest room maintenance requests and emergencies
Conduct preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in hotel infrastructure and systems
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
Assist with energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programs
Support renovation projects and upgrades as needed
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
2+ years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or a related field (hospitality experience a plus)
Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
Basic computer skills for work order systems and reporting
Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are a plus
