Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and will be responsible for delivering food and beverages in a timely manner while ensuring guest satisfaction. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly while providing menus and information about daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently using the Aloha POS system.
- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring proper food handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Upsell menu items by making recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accurate cash handling practices are maintained.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service areas.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, fostering positive guest relations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any issues that may arise during service.
- Assist in training new staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and sanitation practices is essential.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Experience with cash handling procedures is a plus.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or OpenTable systems is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest relations and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
