Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pre-owned Luxury Buyer to join our team and drive the procurement of high-end pre-owned luxury products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our curated collection by sourcing exceptional items, building strong vendor relationships, and leveraging industry insights. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for luxury goods, exceptional negotiation skills, and a strategic mindset to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Identify and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers through comprehensive market research, industry trend analysis, and data collection methods.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure favorable agreements that align with company goals.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, inventory control, and logistics coordination using merchandising software and ERP systems.
- Conduct financial analysis and sales data interpretation to inform buying decisions, demand planning, and pricing strategies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product management, and merchandising teams to develop product assortments that meet customer preferences.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to stay ahead of industry shifts and optimize procurement strategies.
- Maintain vendor relationship management through regular communication, performance reviews, and contract management to ensure supply chain efficiency.
Requirements
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience in contract negotiation and vendor contract management.
- Ability to manage inbound and outbound inventory purchases.
- Demonstrated ability in financial analysis related to profit & loss statements.
- Exceptional communication skills for stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to interpret data insights through data visualization tools to inform strategic decisions.
- A proactive approach to process improvement with a focus on efficiency enhancements within supply chain and warehouse operations.
