Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medication Aide to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assist residents with medication administration, ensuring safety, accuracy, and compliance with all healthcare regulations. Responsibilities
- Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all state healthcare regulations and facility policies.
- Accurately document medication administration
- Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report findings promptly to nursing staff.
- Assist with resident personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and hygiene assistance.
- Measure vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents’ health status.
- Support residents with specialized needs such as catheter care, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive resident care plans are followed accurately.
- Assist with medical documentation and ensure all medication records are complete and up-to-date.
- Provide compassionate support during emergency situations by performing first aid or CPR when necessary.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Good House keeping is essential to this role
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and senior care practices.
- Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous.
- Certification as a Medication Aide from the State Board of Nursing is required; additional certifications in CPR and First Aid are preferred.
- Hands-on experience administering medications safely while maintaining patient confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when assisting residents with mobility or transfers..

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
