Job Coaches provide training to failitate successful employment outcomes for clients. Responsible for development of instructional strategies for specific job duties, monitoring progress and compiling accurate data. Coordinates employment services with Employment Support Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess clients general work habits, characteristics and training needs through Community Based Assessments and vocational planning meetings
- With input from the employer, establish job requirements and performance standards for clients employment training plan
- Provide job site advocacy, support, and follow-up services
- Provide appropriate and professional job site monitoring
- Provide appropriate and professional supervision of clients
- Provide HAB services to clients
- Provide Job readiness classes and vocational training for current and future grants
- Maintain accurate records; progress reports of case activities, Placement reports, CBA reports, worksite information, data base entries
- Complete intake interviews for new referrals
- Submit pre-weekly and post-weekly schedules
- Assist with development of individual employment services plans with State VR agencies, ISC’s, County MH/MR representative
- Coordinate the employment services needed for assigned consumers on caseload
- Participate in OVR and ISP team meetings
- Determine worksite accommodation needed for client
- Responsible for providing career guidance, resources and related employment activities to clients to facilitate the job search
- Maintain accurate files on each client for licensing requirements and contract agreements
- Communicate with referral sources on progress of cases
- Participate in agency, department, and ESS staff meetings
- Present verbal reports on consumer status in meetings
- Ability to work evening and weekends a must
- Performance of other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Vocational Rehabilitation or a related field
- 1 year experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, proof of automobile insurance
- Clearances/Act 33, 34, and fingerprinting
Physical Needs for Job:
- Ability to physically assist consumer at job site with all required job duties
- Able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods of timebend/squat/stoop/ reach as required during training

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
