Commercial HVAC Preventative Maintenance Technician

Overview
TNT HeatingAir is hiring a dependable Commercial HVAC Maintenance Technician to support ongoing service agreements and preventative maintenance programs across a wide range of commercial facilities. This role is focused on keeping HVAC systems operating at peak efficiency through routine inspections, performance checks, and proactive service. You will be a key part of ensuring system reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high standards of performance for our commercial clients.
Pay Range: $30 - $40 per hour
Core Responsibilities

Complete scheduled preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, packaged units, VAV systems, and heat pumps

Conduct detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical components to ensure proper operation and safety compliance

Evaluate motors, belts, refrigerant charge, drain systems, and control functions during service visits

Clean coils, replace filters, and perform system tune-ups to maintain efficiency and performance standards

Verify equipment operation against manufacturer specifications and industry standards

Accurately record service details, deficiencies, and recommendations using ServiceTitan or approved platforms

Communicate findings clearly to office staff and clients, including repair needs and potential system improvements

Install service tags and update maintenance schedules for future follow-up

Maintain a fully stocked, clean, and organized company service vehicle

Coordinate with dispatch and service management to ensure proper scheduling and workflow continuity

Identify opportunities for indoor air quality improvements, efficiency upgrades, and system enhancements

Represent TNT HeatingAir with professionalism and consistency on every job site
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of commercial HVAC maintenance or service experience

EPA Certification (Type II or Universal) required

Strong understanding of HVAC system operation, components, and preventative maintenance practices

Experience working with rooftop units, split systems, and programmable or digital controls

Ability to document work accurately and communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in the field

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
