Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction estimating processes. This role involves evaluating project specifications, preparing accurate cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. The Estimator will play a critical role in negotiating contracts and maintaining cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid for efficient estimating processes.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop budgets and timelines.
- Conduct site visits to gather information for accurate estimating.
- Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing.
- Monitor costs throughout the project to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost estimates for management review.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cost control measures and techniques in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using estimating software, including Bluebeam.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Experience working on construction sites is preferred, providing insight into practical cost considerations.
- A background in project management is a plus, showcasing the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
