Be a part of the magic at Stage Left! We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our daily operations by managing various administrative tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective time management, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Responsibilities
- Oversee courses, curriculum, and productions run by SLCT studios and adjunct locations for Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters, including Mainstage performances.
- Answering phone calls and collecting/shipping packages.
- Maintain office and theatre inventory, restocking materials as necessary
- Administrative aspects of classes/workshops
- Assist in routine maintenance of the website and social media
- Serve as the Secretary on the Board of Directors of SLCT.
- Assist in fundraising activities and running of events that occur outside of typical work hours
- Overseeing and running show load in and set strikes
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Knowledge of computers, experience in Microsoft Office preferred.
- Knowledge of general office equipment, such as printers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A customer service oriented, can-do approach to work.
- Able to think on your feet and have excellent problem solving skills.
- Must have a car and a valid driver’s license.
Good to Have:
- Previous experience working in an administrative assistant position or office environment.
- Experience working with QuickBooks/Intuit, WordPress, Dropbox, Constant Contact, Cur8, Canva, and/or Sawyer.
- Experience in live theatre and/or childcare.
About Us:
- Stage Left Children’s Theatre (SLCT) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit located in Rockland County, NY, providing multidisciplinary education in theater for students from PreK-12th grades. The classes offered include vocal, acting, and dance technique that culminate in a progress presentation at the end of the semester, set design and musical theater workshops for grades K-2, and 3rd-5th, where students audition, rehearse, and perform a musical production. Hours: 9am-5pm, (Flexible on some days where evenings, weekends & light travel are required)
Location: Tappan, NY & Norwood, NJ
Rate: $20.00 / hour
