Duties
- Perform professional haircuts, trims, blowouts, and styling for men and women using various techniques including scissors, clippers, and straight razors
- Execute expert hair coloring services, including highlights, balayage, and color correction based on color theory principles
- Apply hair extensions and assist clients with hair care routines to maintain healthy hair
- Provide grooming services such as beard trims, straight razor shaves, and facial grooming tailored to individual preferences
- Offer additional beauty services like makeup application, eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading to enhance client experience
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools and workstations after each service
- Use salon software like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, process retail sales, and upsell products effectively
- Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized recommendations for hair care products or retail items
- Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, managing appointments, and supporting store management tasks
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hairstyling, barbering, or retail sales strategies
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license as required by state regulations
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of diverse styling skills
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
- Knowledge of hair care products, color theory, hair extensions, and advanced styling techniques
- Skilled in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with clients and understand their aesthetic goals
- Ability to perform retail sales through upselling complementary products like hair care items or cosmetics
- Experience with specialized services such as eyelash extensions or nail care is a plus but not required
- Strong store management awareness including front desk operations and mentoring responsibilities

Pay: $25.24 - $30.40 per hour
