Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors using various methods such as sweeping, mopping, floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain a polished appearance.
- Handle cleaning tasks for carpets, including vacuuming and deep cleaning procedures to ensure a fresh environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners efficiently and safely.
- Mix and apply floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products following safety guidelines to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or debris to support daily operations.
- Maintain safety standards by properly handling chemical agents and adhering to environmental services protocols.
- Support janitorial and custodial operations by ensuring all areas are cleaned according to schedule, including restrooms, kitchens, hallways, and common areas.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial best practices.
- Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and floor refinishing techniques to restore surfaces effectively.
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while understanding proper usage of floor cleaning chemicals and environmental service procedures.
- Competent in operating various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks comfortably.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude toward building occupants and visitors.
- Knowledge of environmental health standards related to chemical agent handling and safe custodial practices.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 35.0 per week
