Duties
- Lead the development and execution of menu planning that highlights authentic Caribbean cuisine while incorporating modern culinary trends
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth shift management and efficient food production processes
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal
- Manage inventory control and food management procedures to minimize waste and optimize costs
- Enforce strict food safety sanitizing procedures and maintain compliance with health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment
- Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff, fostering teamwork, professional growth, and high morale
Requirements
- Proven experience in fine dining restaurants with a strong background in Caribbean cuisine or similar culinary styles
- Extensive supervisory experience managing kitchen teams in fast-paced environments
- Demonstrated expertise in food production, food service management, and catering operations
- Knowledge of inventory management, cost control strategies, and food safety standards including sanitizing procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Experience with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations within the food industry
- Excellent communication skills combined with a passion for hospitality and serving guests
Expected hours (Potentially):
Tuesday - Sunday : 2pm to 10pm
