Job Description:
Hidden Gems Archery is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Empowerment and Archery Instructor to join our mobile archery business. Our mission is to create a fun learning environment where archers of all ages are inspired to discover their hidden potential and develop their archery skills. We are a mobile archery range and are looking for folks to be able to travel within the 5 NYC boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Youth Empowerment Advocate: As a Youth Empowerment and Archery Instructor, you will play a crucial role in fostering the personal growth and self-esteem of our young archers. You will empower them to believe in themselves, set and achieve goals, and develop life skills beyond archery.
- Archery Instruction: Teach archery techniques, safety protocols, and best practices to students of various ages and skill levels. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all archers can excel.
- Encouragement and Motivation: Inspire and motivate archers to give their best effort in every practice session and event. Be a positive role model, offering constructive feedback and encouragement.
- Team Player: Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure the smooth operation of our mobile archery ranges. Contribute to a cohesive and supportive team atmosphere.
- Fun Learning Environment: Create a fun and engaging atmosphere where archers look forward to participating. Plan and organize games, challenges, and events that make archery enjoyable and exciting.
- Safety: Prioritize the safety of all participants by enforcing safety rules and protocols. Ensure archery equipment is maintained and used correctly.
- Customer Interaction: Interact with participants and their families in a friendly and professional manner. Address inquiries, provide information, and ensure a positive customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Must have previous teaching skills
- Drivers license preferred but not required
- Bilingual- Spanish speaking is a plus but not required
- Passion for youth empowerment and a strong belief in the potential of young individuals.
- Certification as an archery instructor is required, we will walk you through the steps of getting a basic certification.
- Learning the sport is required, we will teach you the steps to use a bow successfully.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Enthusiasm for creating a fun and engaging learning environment.
- A commitment to safety and the well-being of participants.
- Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
