Position: Journeyman Electrician
Location: Still Pond, MD
Project: Utility-Scale Solar
Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians to support a utility-scale solar project in Still Pond, MD. This role involves installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems associated with solar construction, including DC/AC systems, inverters, and related components.
Requirements:
- Must hold a current and valid Journeyman Electrician license in the State of Maryland or a recognized reciprocal state
- Minimum 1–3 years of utility-scale solar experience OR at least 5 years of commercial new construction experience
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and NEC code
- Experience working with DC/AC systems, terminations, and solar components preferred
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced construction environment
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test electrical systems for utility-scale solar projects
- Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, and equipment installation
- Assist with inverter, combiner box, and panel installations
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with NEC, OSHA, and project standards
- Collaborate with supervisors and other trades to meet project timelines
Compensation:
- $45.00 – $55.00 per hour (DOE)
Additional Requirements:
- Must have own tools required for the trade
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening if required
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
