Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic concrete team. In this role, you will be responsible for placing, shaping, and finishing concrete surfaces to ensure they meet precise specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring construction projects to life, from commercial buildings to renovation sites, with a focus on delivering durable and visually appealing concrete work. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in concrete finishing, formwork, and related trades to create lasting structures.
Duties
- Place concrete, pull concrete, screed, bull float, edge and finish. All concrete work is expected to have a near perfect finish maintaining the Nichols Concrete standard.
- Set forms accurately according to blueprints and schematics to contain the concrete during pouring.
- Operate power tools including concrete mixers, pumps, and vibrating equipment to ensure proper placement and compaction of concrete.
- Install rebar reinforcement as required for structural integrity before pouring concrete.
- Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications, ensuring precise execution of tasks like masonry, stucco, or tile laying.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor involved in concrete placement, form removal, and site cleanup.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in concrete finishing, formwork, and heavy machinery operation.
- Experience with construction estimating processes for materials like rebar, form materials, or finishing supplies.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators and skid steers used on construction sites.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during concrete finishing tasks.
- Familiarity with safety protocols related to construction site experience and the use of power tools and hand tools.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
