Job Brief We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Baristas/Brewistas to join our creative and collaborative team. This role requires a passion for craft coffee and exceptional customer service skills. As a Barista/Brewista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages, operating coffee machines, and educating customers about our offerings. Training on brewing equipment will be provided. Experience in a bar or restaurant setting, handling 100+ customers daily, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically.
- Answer customer questions about ingredients in food and drinks.
- Accurately take orders, noting preferences for coffee blends, dairy/sugar ratios, and food ingredients.
- Prepare beverages following recipes with consistent milk steaming, measurements, temperatures, flavors, and portions (coffee, craft cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages).
- This position involves counter service; no table-side service is required.
- Process payments and handle transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area and perform opening and closing duties.
- Check and report any maintenance issues with brewing equipment.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate customer feedback to management.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Barista, Bartender, or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and deliver exceptional hospitality.
- Team-oriented with a quick learning capability.
- Passionate about craft coffee and quality.
- Hands-on experience with brewing equipment.
- Knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic math skills and experience with POS systems.
- Ability to gauge and respond to customer preferences.
- Excellent communication skills.
- High school diploma; relevant training is a plus.
- A positive, hard-working, and fun personality.
