Direct Care Worker
Job Summary:
NuChoice Health Partners is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Worker to join our team in Butler, PA. As a Direct Care Worker, you will provide support and companionship to our clients, assisting with daily living tasks and promoting their overall well-being in the comfort of their own homes.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in conversations, playing games, and participating in activities of their choice
Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks
Remind clients of medication schedules and help with self-administration
Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up living spaces
Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, including managing medication and personal care items
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
Document client information and maintain accurate records
Utilize excellent communication skills to maintain open and respectful relationships with clients, families, and colleagues
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
0 years of experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work varying shifts, including mornings and afternoons
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (if applicable)
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
Compassionate and empathetic approach to working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
Strong organizational and communication skills
