RN/LPN Unit Manager/Wound Care
Job Summary:
Juniper Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate RN/LPN Unit Manager to join our team in Gastonia, North Carolina. As a key leader in our nursing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of care to our residents, developing and implementing care plans, and providing guidance and support to our nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the customer experience, workflow, and work environment
Collect and document resident evaluations at admission and discharge
Notify residents and their legal representatives of pending discharges 24 hours in advance
Chart complete discharge summaries, including discharge planning and referrals
Maintain accurate and complete records of staffing hours and sign-in/out sheets
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to resolve grievances and address resident, family, and staff concerns
Respond to staffing shortages and arrange for replacement staff
Participate in infection control, exposure control, and resident care programs to promote proactive improvement
Requirements:
Current licensure as a Licensed Nurse (RN/LPN)
One to three years of related experience; supervisory experience preferred
Current/active CPR certification
Excellent technical and documentation skills
Effective verbal and written English communication skills
Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook, as well as internet and intranet navigation
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality
Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change
Ability to function independently and work effectively with employees and vendors
