Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for creating memorable dining experiences for our guests while ensuring that all food and beverage orders are accurately processed and delivered.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and address any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and adhering to sanitation standards.
- Process payments accurately, handling cash transactions with basic math skills.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines.
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing any issues or feedback with professionalism.
Skills
- Proven experience in the restaurant or food service industry, preferably in fine dining settings.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction and hospitality.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment while multitasking efficiently.
- Experience in sales techniques, particularly upselling menu items to enhance revenue.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation requirements within the culinary field.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and payment processing.
- Previous experience as a host/host or in guest services is a plus.
