Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. As an OTA at Gulfside, you will assist the occupational therapist in creating personalized treatment plans to help patients regain their independence and reach their maximum potential. You will work closely with patients to assess their abilities, develop and implement treatment plans, and document progress.
Responsibilities:
Assist the occupational therapist in the evaluation and treatment of patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet patient goals
Conduct therapy sessions and provide feedback to patients
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Current OTA certification or licensure in the state of Florida
Minimum 0 years of experience in occupational therapy or a related field
Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages and abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
