American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with CVOR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring an active Washington state license and BLS certification.

Acute care hospital CVOR unit performing standard cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted surgical cases
-
Facility operates 4 CVOR suites handling 22–45 total cases per day across all specialties
-
CVOR is in close proximity to the Cath Lab; the circulating CVOR nurse may be on standby for vascular cases that convert to open
-
Robotics experience preferred but not required; facility uses the da Vinci XI and is willing to train
-
Primary schedule is 5 days x 8-hour shifts, 0715–1500, Monday through Friday; varied start times and 10s and 12s are also used
-
Weekend coverage is handled through call rotation
-
Call requirement is 8–9 call days per month; call hours run 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend call structured as Call 1 (12-hour days), Call 2 (12-hour nights), and Call 3 (24-hour backup)

Call response time is 30 minutes

Holiday coverage is handled by rotation

Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required

CVOR experience required

Active Washington state license required (pending licenses are not accepted); license required if applicable

BLS certification required; active certifications only — pending certifications will not be accepted

National certification (CST) is not required for this position

A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked; references must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Orientation is approximately 1 week in length

A charge nurse is present on every shift covering both Main OR and CVOR; a dedicated resource nurse is also available for CVOR

Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered

Housing in the area may be difficult to secure; travelers are encouraged to plan ahead
