The Chief Operating Officer & Chief Compliance Officer is responsible for overseeing the operational infrastructure, investor onboarding processes, compliance procedures, and day-to-day administrative functions of the firm. This role will help ensure that the business runs efficiently, investor workflows are properly managed, and internal controls remain organized and scalable.
This is a critical leadership position for a small crypto asset management firm and is well suited for a candidate with experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, compliance support, investor onboarding, and vendor management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations across the management company and fund support functions
- Manage investor onboarding workflows, subscription documents, redemption requests, and capital activity support
- Coordinate AML/KYC reviews and maintain organized investor records and onboarding documentation
- Serve as the primary operational liaison with fund administrators, legal counsel, accountants, banking partners, and other service providers
- Maintain internal books, records, operating procedures, compliance calendars, and document retention processes
- Support offering document administration, investor communications, and due diligence materials
- Help establish and maintain internal policies, controls, and operational workflows designed to support growth and regulatory discipline
- Review operational processes for efficiency, accuracy, and risk management
- Assist with vendor oversight, invoice coordination, and firm-level administrative support
- Work closely with leadership on strategic projects, internal process improvements, and infrastructure development
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, compliance operations, investor services, or financial operations
- Familiarity with AML/KYC processes, subscription workflows, and fund service-provider coordination
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple operational priorities simultaneously
- High attention to detail and strong document management capabilities
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal leadership and external vendors
- Experience with alternative investments, private funds, or digital asset firms preferred
