Job Overview:
We’re looking for an outgoing, energetic, and growth-minded Sales Associate to join the Dandi Plants team! This role blends in-person retail, live sales events, and digital engagement across our platforms. You’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience—whether you’re welcoming a shopper into our Livonia showroom, answering a plant care question in our DMs, or hosting a high-energy livestream.The ideal candidate is confident on camera, excited to learn, and has a genuine passion for plants (rare plant lovers = extra credit). This person should understand how to represent a brand thoughtfully and help us grow a loyal, excited customer base—both online and in-person.
Key Responsibilities:
- In-Store Customer Experience: Greet and assist customers at our Livonia showroom, providing expert plant care advice, checkout support, and personalized recommendations.
- Live Sales & Social Selling: Host and participate in live sales events on platforms like PalmStreet, Instagram, and TikTok, showcasing plants, engaging viewers, answering questions in real time, and driving conversions.
- Digital Customer Engagement: Respond to customer questions via direct messages on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other platforms—providing fast, friendly, and helpful support.
- Inventory Setup & Merchandising: Set up, organize, and restock inventory for both in-store and live sale displays. Help maintain clean, aesthetically pleasing retail and event spaces.
- Event Support & Brand Representation: Represent Dandi Plants at local events, pop-ups, and shows—interacting with customers, promoting products, and sharing your love of plants. Occasionally travel (less than 10%) to support event setup, booth display, and inventory transport.
- Order Coordination & Fulfillment Support: Work cross-functionally with packing and shipping teams to ensure online and live sale orders are processed smoothly and efficiently.
- Sales Strategy & Feedback Loop: Track sales performance and customer feedback; share insights with leadership and marketing teams to help shape future promotions and product offerings.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various sales-related tasks as needed, from customer follow-ups to inventory tracking to POS troubleshooting.

- Comfortable speaking on camera and being the “face” of a brand
- Friendly and engaging communicator with a customer-first attitude
- Experience in sales, retail, or live events preferred
- Interest in or knowledge of houseplants (rare plant enthusiasm is a huge plus!)
- Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet during shift
- Tech-savvy and excited to learn new tools for livestreaming and POS
- Punctual, detail-oriented, and flexible in a fast-paced setting
