The Goddard School in Snoqualmie is looking for an assistant toddler teacher. The Goddard School is a leader in the child care industry and provides high-quality early childhood education; our program encourages children to learn through play and instill in them the love for learning.
Overview
A Teacher at The Goddard School is responsible for establishing and maintaining a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment. Additionally an AssistantTeacher is responsible to work together with a Lead Teacher and in conjunction with the entire faculty.
General Qualifications
A Teacher must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to speak and be understood under normal circumstances
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
- Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
Educational Qualifications
All candidates, who wish to be considered for the position of a Teacher must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development.
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8.
- An Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development or a related field.
- An Associate’s degree or higher in a related field, including 18 semester hours of completed coursework related to young children birth to age 8.
- A current CDA or Early Childhood Teaching Credential.
- Proof of current and active enrollment in a CDA Credentialing Program.
- Proof of current and active enrollment in an accredited Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
Teacher Responsibilities

Compensation
- Base salary: depending on experience and qualifications.
