TITLE: Home Health Regional Director of Nursing
TERRITORY: Central FL – Orlando area office
Home Health services encompass: Osceola, Orange, Lake, & Seminole Counties
- SCHEDULE: M-F, 40 hrs per week. Some flexibility to be available after hours/weekends if needed
- SETTING: Hybrid role: In-Office 70%, In Field 30%
- SALARY: $95-120K

EDUCATION: RN Degree, BSN or MSN Preferred, CRRN
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 yrs RN exp in Home Health
- Active Florida RN license
- 2 yrs supervisor exp as Regional Director/ADON/DON in medium sized Home Health agency
- Managing Patient care for 110+ Home Health Patients within Florida
MUST HAVE: Familiar with ACHA regulations and HIPPA compliance
PREFER: Bilingual
JOB SUMMARY:
The Home Health Director of Nursing includes a wide range of responsibilities focused on overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care within a home health setting. These responsibilities require a combination of clinical expertise, (IV Infusion and Pediatric exp a plus) management skills, and a deep understanding of home health care regulations and best practices. The Director of Nursing plays a crucial role in shaping the quality of care provided to patients in their homes and ensuring that the nursing staff is well-equipped and informed to deliver that care effectively.
JOB DUTIES:
- Developing and Supervising Nursing Services: The Director of Nursing is accountable for hiring, training, developing, and supervising the activities of clinical personnel who provide health care, nursing services and therapy services to the agency’s clients
- Policy Implementation: Assisting with the development and implementation of nursing services, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards and regulations
- Staff Management: Selecting field staff, orientating and onboarding staff members, completing employee appraisals, and resolving issues involving employee disciplinary action and client care ( need hands on training here and it will not let me add)
- Client Care: Conducting client assessments, re-assessments, supervisory visits, and development of client plans of care
- Direct Client Care: Providing direct client care as needed and having specific clients assigned for care
- Clinical and Progress Notes: Preparing clinical and progress notes and summaries of care, as well as informing physicians and other personnel of changes in the patient’s condition and needs
- Education and Training: Supervising and teaching other nursing personnel, as well as planning and implementing in-service and training programs
- Compliance: Ensuring proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, including HIPAA/OSHA Compliance
- Community Relations: Promoting home health referrals in the health care community and coordinating onsite assistance for RN-Reg clinics
