CDL-A Intermodal Drivers Needed – Local & Regional TX Routes

We are hiring CDL-A drivers for dedicated intermodal routes in Texas. Openings include home-daily local routes and regional routes with weekly reset home time.
These are steady positions for drivers who want consistent freight, reliable weekly pay, and clear route options based on location and experience.
Position Highlights
- Average weekly pay: $1,000–$1,300 depending on route
- Home time: Home daily local routes available
- Regional option: Weekly 34-hour reset
- Freight: Intermodal / container freight
- Load type: Mostly drop-and-hook, with some live load and live unload
- Miles: Approximately 1,000–2,100 miles per week depending on route
- Extra pay: Select routes include $20 stop pay and up to $40 per load
- Schedules: Day and night shifts available
- No endorsements required
Route Options
Local Home-Daily Routes
Available in the Houston, Hutchins, and Lancaster areas. Drivers run local intermodal freight in and out of rail yards and nearby service areas. Some routes operate within roughly a 250-mile radius.
Local routes may include:
- Home daily
- Two consecutive days off on select schedules
- Static schedule options
- Day or night shifts
- Slip-seat day cabs
- Container freight on chassis
- Mostly drop-and-hook freight
- 12-hour workdays depending on freight and rail activity
Regional Route
Available near the Wilmer area. Drivers run dedicated regional freight with strong mileage and a weekly 34-hour reset.
Regional route may include:
- Weekly reset home time
- Approximately 2,100 miles per week
- Average weekly pay around $1,300
- Rotation schedule
- Live load, live unload, preload, and drop-and-hook
- Must be comfortable sleeping in the truck when needed
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months CDL-A experience
- Clean and safe driving record preferred
- Must be reliable and safety-focused
- Must be comfortable with intermodal/container freight
- Must live near Houston, Hutchins, Lancaster, Wilmer, or surrounding TX hiring areas
- Must be available for assigned schedule
