Locations: Glasgow & Burkesville, KY
Position Type: PRN / As Needed
We are looking for a dependable and flexible PRN Medical Assistant / Front Desk team member to provide coverage at our Glasgow and Burkesville locations as needed. This position is primarily to help cover shifts when regular staff members are out sick, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable.
The ideal candidate will be friendly, dependable, professional, and comfortable working in both the front office and clinical areas of a family practice.
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and checking in patients
- Answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Verifying patient information and insurance
- Checking patients in and out
- Assisting providers with patient care as needed
- Taking vital signs and obtaining patient histories
- Performing phlebotomy and other basic clinical duties
- Preparing exam rooms and maintaining a clean, organized environment
- Assisting with other front desk and medical assistant duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous medical office or medical assistant experience preferred
- Medical Assistant certification preferred but not required
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and willing to work at either location when coverage is needed
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, positive, and compassionate attitude
About the Position:
This is an as-needed PRN position, with no guaranteed weekly hours. Hours will vary based on staffing needs and coverage requirements. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible work while remaining active in a medical office setting.
