Job Summary: Assists endoscopy team during endoscopy procedures. Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operation, and passes items as needed to the endoscopy team. Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the endoscopy room. The Endo Tech is responsible for the provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility as directed by the Registered Nurse. Provides a centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility. In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas. Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Current CPR. Demonstrates ability to work as a team member and to communicate directly and professionally. Is flexible, reliable, productive, patient-oriented, and self-motivated. Portrays the facility in a positive light to others. Avoids being involved in gossip spreading or conversations that promote discord of staff members. Maintains professional conduct and appearance.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, physicians, and other employees.
Physical Demands: Shall be physically able to stand, walk, and maintain varied body motions and positions for long periods of time. Demonstrates manual dexterity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The employee shall be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools. The employee is required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Shall be able to hear and speak. Shall be able to move up to 100 pounds.
