The Facilities Operations Technician supports facility operations across Vyriad and Imanis facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building and laboratory support systems. The role performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), plumbing, HVAC, and RO water systems, and supports environmental monitoring to maintain required conditions.
The technician plays a critical role in maintaining controlled environmental conditions and minimizing operational downtime in a regulated biotech environment. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities.
This position will also provide support for receiving and inventory documentation as needed to maintain operational flow.

Performs general repairs and preventative maintenance on fixed and portable mechanical and electrical equipment, requiring higher levels of skills, works alone in a safe and efficient manner; assists with work requiring higher skill levels.
· Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laboratory and facility equipment
· Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
· Interpret blueprints, schematics, riser diagrams, and one-line diagrams
· Utilize diagnostic tools and maintenance instruments effectively
· Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation using CMMS/software systems
· Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, GMP, FDA)
· Work independently and adapt to changing priorities and high-pressure situations
· Performs basic plumbing functions including water faucet repairs, clearing/snaking clogged sewer drain piping, controls, soldering copper piping up to one inch. and experience using a pro-press tool.
· Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems with appropriate test equipment.
· Requires safe and effective working knowledge of common shop tools and power equipment.
· Requires ability to organize and prioritize self and work.
· Work varied hours which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends
· Requires good communication, telephone, and human relation skills to interact with staff, visitors, and co-workers
· Utilizes internal/external resources to maintain skills and competencies Demonstrates. Basic knowledge in windows computer programs.

Education and experience REQUIREMENTS
· High School diploma or equivalent and
· Two year post high school degrees in general mechanical or electrical maintenance with one year of working experience in general mechanical or electrical or
· An associate degree in a related field or
· 5 Years of experience in the facilities field

Pay: $26.00 - $31.00 per hour
