Community Counselor – Court involved youth.
Full-Time | Evening Shift
Locations: Wilkinsburg, North Versailles, and North Side – Allegheny County
Position Overview
Adelphoi is seeking passionate and dynamic Community Counselors to empower and guide court-involved youth toward brighter futures. This full-time role offers a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact through hands-on mentoring and group facilitation. Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s level background in group facilitation, counseling, criminology or a counseling-related degree and thrive in fast-paced, purpose-driven environments where structure, accountability and a non-judgmental approach create the foundation for change. Adelphoi provides agency-preferred training designed to help you succeed in a supportive and collaborative setting rooted in trauma-informed principles.
What You’ll Do:

Facilitate psycho-educational groups that inspire personal growth, teach emotional regulation, and build real-world social and coping skills.

Guide youth in mastering daily living skills and routines, fostering independence and confidence.

Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support with professionalism and empathy.

Represent Adelphoi with excellence during meetings with youth, families, and partner collaborations.

Champion Trauma-Informed Care in every interaction, creating a safe, consistent, and respectful environment.
What You Bring:

Confidence and calm authority when engaging with youth in challenging situations.

Ability to connect authentically to youth, while maintaining firm boundaries and structure.

Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a counseling-related field.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Experience in detention, residential, or counseling settings preferred.
