Position Summary
The Warehouse Order Picker & Putaway Associate is responsible for accurately picking customer
orders, staging products for shipment, and placing received inventory into designated storage locations.
This role supports inventory accuracy, efficient order fulfillment, and overall warehouse organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick customer orders using pick lists or RF scanning systems.
- Verify correct SKUs, quantities, and product condition.
- Stage picked orders for packing and shipping.
- Put away received inventory into assigned locations in accordance with slotting and storage
guidelines.
- Ensure proper labeling and safe storage of products.
- Perform visual quality checks during picking and putaway processes.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or safety concerns.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks and team needs as assigned.
Equipment & Tools Used
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) and RF scanners
- Pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Forklifts or reach trucks (certification required, as applicable)
- Packing tools and materials
Safety Responsibilities
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and PPE requirements.
- Use proper lifting and material-handling techniques.
- Participate in required safety training and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior warehouse or order picking experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic math, reading, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
