Duties
- Deliver engaging lessons based on prepared lesson plans or teacher instructions, ensuring continuity of instruction.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing established behavior management strategies.
- Support students’ individual needs by working with children with disabilities or developmental challenges, including autism and other special education requirements.
- Assist with curriculum development and lesson planning to enhance educational activities across subjects such as literacy, math, and creative writing.
- Foster a positive learning environment through classroom management, mentorship, and encouragement.
- Collaborate with school staff to monitor student progress and provide feedback on classroom activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, student participation, and any incidents that occur during your shift.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience or childcare background is preferred; experience in private schools or Montessori settings is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, staff, and parents.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom settings and teaching styles.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism.
- Skills in lesson planning, curriculum development, and proofreading educational materials.
- Demonstrated ability in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
