Key Responsibilities
- Review and rewrite existing job descriptions across Valence locations for clarity, consistency, and alignment with current role requirements
- Partner with hiring managers and HR to develop new or updated job descriptions for open and newly created positions
- Design and build structured training plans for new hires, outlining onboarding milestones, role-specific competencies, and check-in schedules
- Assist with recruiting coordination, including scheduling interviews, posting job requisitions, and maintaining candidate tracking records
- Support new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork processing, orientation logistics, and new employee follow-up
- Help compile and organize data for HR reporting, dashboards, and metrics tracking
- Assist with compliance-related administrative tasks (e.g., training tracking, policy acknowledgments, file audits)
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, correspondence, and meeting coordination
- Participate in special projects as assigned, with exposure to multiple HR functional areas
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- Rising junior, senior, or recent graduate preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Interest in job architecture, employee onboarding, or instructional/training design a plus
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative
- Prior HR, internship, or administrative experience is a plus but not required
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily an office environment; occasional presence on the production/plant floor may be required for specific projects
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use standard office equipment
- Some sites may require basic PPE for floor visits (e.g., safety glasses, closed-toe shoes)
