Here's what we're looking for: our ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostics, automotive repair and maintenance; with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models -- we work on EVERYTHING here! This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Candidates should possess electrical and mechanical knowledge, proficiency with hand tools, scan tools and power tools, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive service -- we are here to care for our customers' vehicles -- and a strong sense of integrity and teamwork.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced ADAS technology.
- Conduct repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Execute vehicle maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, and wheel balancing.
- Utilize automotive repair techniques including welding, electrical troubleshooting, and component replacement.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to accurately identify issues.
- Perform auto estimating for repairs and communicate effectively with customers regarding service needs.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and ensure all repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Assist in the training of junior technicians and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Experience
- Prior dealership or independent shop experience is highly preferred.
- Proven service technician experience with a focus on automotive diagnostics and electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with a multitude of vehicles, diesel engine repair, and powertrain systems.
- Familiarity with automotive service procedures including wheel alignment, vehicle maintenance, and transmission repair.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Knowledge of auto estimating processes and customer service best practices is advantageous.
- Demonstrated mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, transmissions, and general maintenance tasks. Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
