SUMMARY
The Records Management Administrator directs the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of the City of Surprise’s enterprise-wide records management program, ensuring compliance with legal mandates, optimizing digital transformation, managing public records requests, as well as fostering citywide records management coordination and training under the direction of Deputy City Clerk and the City Clerk. The Records Management Administrator provides responsive, transparent, and customer-focused services to the public, city departments, and external agencies, including reviewing records, redacting confidential information, and ensuring deadlines are met.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Business, Library/Information Science or a related field, and four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in records/information management, including two years of supervisory and/or lead experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
