The Accountant I will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial analysis reports, developing and maintaining general ledger accounts and reconciliations. This position will also process payroll transactions (paystubs, taxes, benefits and reporting) for approval as well as assist with audit requirements as requested.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Compiles financial information and prepares entries for general ledger accounts
· Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports
· Processes payroll for all employees
· Assists in the coordination of physical inventory and capital expenditures
· Support Cost Accounting functions
· Coordinates and assists in collections within A/R
· Supports Federal Contracts and interactions with DCAA including audits
· Processes A/P entry and coordinates payments consistent with policies and procedures
· Performs monthly g/l account maintenance
· Assist with Human Resources procedures, as needed including onboarding and maintaining HR files
· Assist with Treasury operations
· Willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
· Detail oriented
· Other duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting A.A. or B.S. Degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
- Familiarity with Government contracting desired but not required
- Familiarity with HR desired
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Good written and oral communication skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate strong analytical and effective problem-solving skills
- Must be able to use all Microsoft Office programs with emphasis on Excel
- Must have experience and be strong with accounting software applications
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Software Suite (required)

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
