Overview
We are looking for a bilingual homeschool teacher who is preferably a native Spanish speaker. We are not necessarily looking for an experienced teacher, so much as someone with a lot of curiosity about the local and broader world who is enthusiastic about teaching children.

Requirements
- Work with 1-4 children from different families between the age of 8-12 individually and together.
- School hours are from 10am - 3pm, Monday through Friday in a home environment as well as outdoors.
- A background check is required.
Duties
- The role does not require developing a curriculum, but the teacher is expected to be creative in what and how to teach within the parents' goals.
- The teacher will meet with each child's parents once every other week to review the child's work and performance, along with evaluating learning materials and planning.
- There's no requirement for prior classroom teaching experience or homeschooling, but either would be a plus.
Overall, this is a low pressure teaching & learning environment that focuses on the children and encouraging their curiosity. The age range is one where academic discipline will start to play a larger role, but overall is secondary to curiosity and exploration.
We would like to put an emphasis on Spanish as a second language and are open to figuring out the best way to pursue that.
