Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Server to join our vibrant restaurant team. As a Server, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, expert knowledge of our menu and beverage offerings, and a friendly, welcoming attitude. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, processing sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wine and spirits knowledge, to help guests make informed choices and enhance their dining experience.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items, including cocktails and specialty drinks, to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions responsibly, process payments accurately, and give correct change while maintaining excellent guest relations.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods to ensure seamless service flow.
- Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously to foster a welcoming atmosphere.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery in both fine dining settings and lively nightclub environments.
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability in beverage service, including cocktail mixing, spirits knowledge, wine pairing, and drink presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and positive attitude toward guests.
- Good math skills for processing sales transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest experiences and increase sales revenue.
- Strong communication skills coupled with time management abilities to serve guests promptly and effectively.
