Job Title: Audit & Certification Coordinator
Location: Pharr, Texas (with periodic travel to Reynosa, Mexico required)
Reports to: Quality Systems Manager
Position Summary
The Audit & Certification Coordinator is responsible for coordinating verification activities related to Management Systems, regulatory requirements, government standards, and customer requests. This role supports the continuous improvement of the company through the effective use of competencies and quality tools. The position also provides support in the consultation, approval/rejection of processes and documentation, and follow-up on customer initiatives and complaints.
Note: This position is based in Pharr, Texas, and requires periodic travel to Reynosa, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining an effective compliance program
- Creating sound internal controls and monitoring adherence to them
- Conducting audits and identifying compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation
- Coordinating and training the Internal Audits Group
- Providing training to employees on compliance-related topics, policies, or procedures
- Documenting and maintaining records of compliance activities (including complaint investigations and regulatory inspections)
- Reviewing and updating company policies in coordination with the direct supervisor
- Keeping informed about the latest developments in the field of compliance
- Collaborating with other departments to foster a culture of compliance across the organization
- Reporting violations of compliance with regulatory standards to the pertinent authorities and following up for closure
- Preparing reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as needed
- Supporting Document Control activities and archiving
- Ensuring compliance with RBA requirementsAuthority
- Authority to stop any process that does not comply with regulatory, quality, normative, or customer-established requirements and immediately notify the direct supervisor (based on criteria defined by the appropriate departments, standards, and norms).
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of certifications
- Experience with product-related audits (e.g., UL, TUV, IEEC)
- Experience with management system audits (e.g., CENELEC, DEMKO, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)
- Experience with social responsibility audit programs (e.g., RBA, ISO 45001, NOM 035)
- Experience as an Internal Auditor
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Preferably 2 years of experience in a similar position
Language Skills
- Conversational English (required)
- Spanish proficiency is highly preferred due to periodic travel to Reynosa, Mexico and cross-border coordination
Required Training
- Problem Solving (8Ds, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, etc.)
- Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018

Pay: $42,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
